Principle Curtis Peterson believes that the school is a beacon of light in the community. As principal of Caring and Sharing Learning School, Mr. Peterson is a staple in the community and advocates a quality education
for all youth.
“Here at Caring and Sharing we foster learning through rigorous academic activities that link concepts and content to experience. We provide students with an environment that stresses high expectations, great parent and family involvement. We also encourage people from the community to volunteer at the school. Students will acquire a base of real world experience in order to motivate them to become lifelong learners and community participants”.
Caring and Sharing Learning School
In 2017 CSLS received the High Flying School Award. This award highlights schools that aim to develop students who are targeted as “at risk” and need extra motivation from the community that believes in them. Caring and Sharing Learning School received their second honor, the National Blue Ribbon Award. There were thousands of schools at every level in the United States that were considered for this recognition. Caring and Sharing Learning School was one of 360 schools to receive such an elite honor. Principal Peterson described this award as, “the equivalent to winning an Oscar.”
